Why do people in wheelchairs wear tennis shoes???

Maybe they like how they look. Just b/c they might not be able to walk doesn't mean they have to have cold feet or wear footwear specifically for people who don't walk.

Why do people in wheelchairs wear tennis shoes???
maybe they need a pedicure really bad
Reply:fit in/ keep their tosies warm
Reply:It has alot to do with the fact that when your in a wheelchair you can't move your feet. Sandals or flip flops fall off very easily. Another thing is a lot of people in wheelchairs have issues with circulation. Your feet and legs can be very sensitive to temperature. So closed shoes keep the feet warm. Another reason is some people in wheelchairs wear leg braces. They cover the leg and feet and tennis shoes are the only type of shoe you can wear with them.
Reply:traction, silly, you can't very well stop or slow down, or put your feet down in general with flip flops or high heels.
Reply:Lmao. You silly! Tell me, what you think would be appropriate?

Socks!
Reply:Because like veryone else they want to cover their feet. Just because you can't use your feet doesn't mean you have to go barefoot or wear slippers.

Not thinking or just being ugly?
Reply:not evryone wearing tennis shoes is actually playing tennis @ the time-most dont play,ever-do u ? these shoes are roomy, flexible and padded, thus preventing skin infection and pressure sores.
Reply:I love this question. It might very well be the best one on here. If I were in a wheelchair, I would want to wear slippers or something...

I have a similar question...

If Denny's is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, Why are there locks on the doors?
