What benefits are to come from tennis shoes?

for starters, tennis shoes and shoes from other sports for example basketball are built differently and for different purposes.

tennis has a lot of lateral movements. tennis shoes are designed with that in mind. the mid sole or arch of your feet are protected when changing direction on a tennis court.

different brands of tennis shoes offer different support and comfort. for example...........Nike has Air, Air Zoom, Air Max...........

Reebok has Hexalite, DMX, Pump...........

all these technologies give different performance and durability and comfort.

Price is again a factor. the more technology advance a shoe is, the more expensive it will be.

but if your budget permits, get good tennis shoes. it will prevent foot and knee injuries. gettin injured becoz u use the wrong shoes is not worth it.

try also Head and Prince shoes. these brands are also very good and may not be as expensive.

have fun!!!!

What benefits are to come from tennis shoes?
now i'm just spitballin' here, but my guess...is that they were probably made for..tennis maybe? thats just a guess though : )
Reply:They provide you with the support and grip needed for quick movements (ie. change of direction). Tennis shoes and basketball shoes can be worn interchangeably in both sports. Although ankle heights won't be suitable for tennis. The dynamics of both tennis and basketball shoes are the same.
Reply:G'day The Raging Monkey,

Thank you for your question.

Tennis shoes help to protect your feet and help you keep your balance.

Reply:just get any k swiss shoes. they were originally made for tennis and still are, but some ppl just wear them for other things
Reply:well, you would lose the sole of your shoes instead of the sole of your feet...

right on....
Reply:If you use plain running shoes you will wear and tear holes in the soles too quickly. Tennis shoes provide stability, comfort, and grip to the court as well as a comfortable fit if you get a good pair like Barricade IVs or Nike Air Breathe 2/3/Cage. Tennis shoes by Wilson and Prince are also good. Tennis shoes are also durable and the soles will not wear out quickly.
Reply:well munky..its to save your legs especially the ankle from injuries...which is especially heavy duty in tennis...

support and comfort would be the two most important things here...
