? can you put toothpaste on white tennis shoes to clean them ?

Sure, but the water you use to rinse off the toothpaste might ruin your sneakers.

Thanks for choosing mine as the best answer. Report It

Reply:If they are canvas and white we used to put that white foamy stuff then dust with baby powder to set it in. Does that help? I hope so.
Reply:Try using glass window cleaner. It works really well, but do so carefully or else they'll start looking as blue as Windex.

If anything, regular white sneaker polish does the trick. I've had a pair of all-white Fubu sneakers since 2002 and they are still going on strong...
Reply:yeah I don't see why not just make sure its the white paste type not the gel.....try the clorox bleach pen though that works pretty well.........just follow the instructions on the package, they run about 4.00$ but it's worth it, make sure you run them through in cold water because if you use hot it will set the stains instead of removing them............I couldn't find a link to a website for this or anything but here's a link to a great book that might be helpful there is tons of tips and tricks for cleaning in it.....there are a few books/videos in this series if you search it on ebay you should be able to find it pretty cheap
Reply:Yes. But Fantastic spray cleaner followed with a good rinse will do the same without the abrasive element in toothpaste.
Reply:Without a brush?
Reply:of course you can, but also make sure they floss at least twice a day for those perfect dental checkups!
Reply:duh of course u can ive done it it worked for me
Reply:why not?

nice idea!
Reply:I don't know about toothpaste, but I always used a little softscrub to clean my white shoes. Try that.
Reply:Well, you can certainly go ahead and try, can't you?
Reply:ive heard that toothpaste will clean a lot of differrent things. can't see why tennis shoes would not be ok
Reply:Sure, why not? If it gets them clean all the better.
Reply:No, but try shaving cream, not gel but the cheap white foam stuff.

Seriously. I used it to clean combat boots in the Marines. It works.
Reply:If they're leather or otherwise not canvas, the mr. magic eraser works great. Takes off everything with no damage %26amp; makes them look brand new.
