Can you put tennis shoes in the dryer after washing them?

I would let them air dry outside. Drying them in the dryer could cause the insides to fall out or possibly even burn them. It's been yrs. and yrs. since I've done that, but I might even try blowdrying them for 5 minutes or so.

Can you put tennis shoes in the dryer after washing them?
its better to let it dry under the sun.
Reply:yes - but you might have to place something against the door to keep it closed
Reply:Yes, on a cooler setting and place each shoe inside a sock. Also dry with other clothes to prevent them from banging so much.
Reply:Yea and they feel great after you put em in the dryer!!!
Reply:Yes but put them on a low setting and be aware that they might shrink a bit.
Reply:Are you talking about canvas tennis shoes? Those can be put in the dryer anytime. If they are running/basketball shoes, I'd suggest wearing a different pair for a couple of days and let them air dry. The inside lining can get messed up and the tongue inevitably is never the same when you put them in the dryer.
Reply:Yes you can, sometimes they curl a little though. I would let them air dry outside.
Reply:I have before.
Reply:yes i have many times. watch the dryer door might come open during the drying period. if u ever wash your pillows its good to wash your tennis shoes at the same time and put in the dryer with your pillows. it will help fluff them up.
Reply:Yes, but they are very loud.
Reply:I have but I would recommend putting them outside to dry with rolled up newspaper inside the shoes to speed the process up.
Reply:Yes you can i do it all the time. but if you really want to be save just put them outside in the sun and let them dry
Reply:Yes but be prepared for a lot of noise! Also, be careful if they are really large. I put my son's men's size 13 in the dryer and they were so long they got wedged between the side wall and the 'ledge' that tumbles the clothes causing the motor belt to snap.
Reply:you might not want to dry on super-hot but i have dried mine before. they go bump-bump-bump very loudly : P
