Can you put sneakers/tennis shoes in the washing machine?

The sneakers I'm willing to have machine-washed are NB, made of plastic and cloth.

Can you put sneakers/tennis shoes in the washing machine?
YES U CAN...I wouldn't recommend putting them in the dryer though,it is best to set them out %26amp; let them dry...

I have added instructions if u want them!

How to Wash Shoes

This will explain some simple steps for washing your tennis shoes in a washing machine.

Steps - Unlace your shoes.

Clean off any excess mud or dirt that can be brushed off easily.

Place your shoes and shoe laces in the washer, along with some towels or blankets.

Add your favorite flavor of detergent.

Set water temperature to cold and start (shoes shouldn't shrink, but this will help to keep the colors from fading)

Take the shoes out once they are finished and place in sun to dry. Make sure that they

Relace and wear those "like new" shoes!

Tips - Washing your shoes with towels or blankets will prevent the dryer from getting off balance.

Drying your shoes in the sun may take a few days, depending on how thick they are.

If you do not feel comfortable washing your shoes in the washer, you can also scrub them in the sink with soap and a brush.
Reply:Not to be flip but if the washer door is big enough, you can put them in there. You can even wash them if you want and they'll be fine.
Reply:Many can be. Put them in an old pillow case and tie it closed. Run them through the wash and then let them air dry (no dryer).

Some cheaply made shoes will come unglued after washing, but the better brands should withstand it okay. I've washed my Nikes before.
Reply:u can but it depends
Reply:yes but put them inside a pillowcase together first
Reply:I've washed sneakers, yeah!
Reply:Yes. I wash mine every once in awhile. I do not dry them though. I put them out and pull the toungue out as far as I can and let them air dry. Drying the shoes will loosen seams and the shoe will tear up quicker.
Reply:Yes you can, but take the laces out of them as they will some times get wrapped under the middle of the washer and it will be a mess.

Pretty much most can be done this way. You can also dry them in the dryer. I prefer to use the kind of dryer where they sit flat on a plat form and do not flop around inside of the dryer. This machine has a flat plat form where the shoes stay there as they dry, you can not put any thing else in the dryer with them while they are drying. I have one of these machines and they are great.
Reply:Yeah but I wouldn't put them in the dryer... try stuffing them when they come out with newspaper and letting them air dry
