because the kids are too heavy to throw up there and stick.

Why do people throw tennis shoes on telephone lines?
because some people think its funny to hang someone elses shoes up there where everyone can see and they cant get them down lol.

Reply:I've seen those around Cali. too!! I'm not sure why or what it means, but I think teenagers are bored, having nothing to do and they think that if they throw a pair of tennis shoes or two over the telephone lines and get stuck, they think it's funny or something. To me, I think it's so stupid, but oh well. What can we do about it?
Reply:cause its a funny prank to pull on someone who has nice running shoes. some rich jock brat's shoes are worth the laugh. other people will say its cause they're immature. i wrote this. you see a mispelled word?





P.S. i've also heard ex-soldiers like to throw their combat boots up on telephone wires when they get out of the army. i guess they're trying to say "kiss my ***" i dunno.

there really is no other explaination. when i was younger ppl would do it just to be mean but maybe it came from teh fact that you bettered yourself and you tossed the old ones up high as a remembrence of times past

Reply:I don't know if this is true, but somebody told me once, that its a sign that someone in the area sells drugs. I've always wondered about that too.
