new balance.
Reply:Buy a good name brand walking shoe, not tennis, but a cross trainer shoe. These have wider soles and lots of cushioning to absorb shock when you walk. Preventing shin splints, achilles problems, etc. See which brand fits your foot the best. Not all brand shoes feel good on all feet. Nike fit me best but New Balance, Adidas are a good brand too. There is a brand just made for women's feet. Can't bring the brand to mind but if I do I'll add it later. Also, make sure you do some stretching of the achilles tendon and warm up before you walk, even sightseeing and casual walking.
Reply:I have a friend that plays tennis all time and she swears by a insert called Super Feet. She tears the insole out of her tennis shoes and puts these in instead. She suffers from plantars facitis and has had foot surgery and she says these are the best. You can find them online.
Reply:I play tennis and need GREAT SUPPORT because of tendon problems and my archs fall, extremely painful. Anyway, the podiatrist told me to wear New Balance. They are GREAT!!!! I buy the cross trainers. Not too pricey, not ugly and they are stylish and youthful.
