Ankle socks w/ tennis shoes and Jeans... acceptable?

Please help settle this debate, I'm anxious to prove to my buddy how right I am.

blegh. if your a dweeb living in the 90's. we're in 2006 practically 2007. no one wears ancle socks anymore and puuhlease jeans with tennis shoes? what are you napolean dinamite? you ALWAYS wear sandles with jeans and if its so freezing, youd catch frost bite without socks, a nice pair of shoes INSTEAD of tennis shoes. tennis shoes are called TENNIS SHOES for a reason. their not called walking around in jean shoes. its not a horroible thing but since you asked for an opion, i told you mine. its not like id kill you or anything. everyones entitled to an opinion, this doesnt make me dumb.
