when we went hiking up mt.baker in the snow i got frostbite on my foot. now i am really self conscious about it.

You should not be ashamed of your scars! The people who really care about you will not care about the way that your feet look... You should be lucky that it was only one foot and not both. Just wear socks to cover it up =-)
