They seem to fit well and have a lot of support in the arches.
I recently purchased cross training tennis shoes...Are these ok to start a walking program in?
Yes you should be fine as cross trainers tend to be stiffer than running shoes which is what you need in a walking shoe. Try it out for a few miles and see how your arches feel. You may find like me that you need a little flex in the arch. Also if it doesn't feel right straight away don't switch them until you try out on of the many great innersoles that have for trainers. Some of them are wonderful.
