i think we can safely assume that the average elephant would not opt to wear shoes, so it would have to be forced into them. this would first involve the capture of the elephant. perhaps the most humane way to go would be to tranqualize the elephant, which would cause the elephant to fall painfully and drug him for the next 8-12 hours. he would then need to be tied down with his legs out while he was fitted for shoes and forced into them. once the poor elephant was given the appropriate footwear, there would be the trouble of getting hiw onto that fence. granted, elephants aren't very high jumpers, so the elephant would need to be hoisted onto the fence using a helicopter, crane, or forklift. the second all of the elephant's weight was on the fence, it would break beneth him and he would fall. or, if somehow the fence was built to resist the weight of an elephant, the sharp points of the picket fence being forced through the shoes into its feet by its own weight would hurt it. then of course we're forgetting the elephant's moral issues. what if the elephant is male and objects to wearing pink shoes? or what if it's female and hates when people force it to wear the stereotypical preference color of its gender? wat if the elephant is afraid of heights, and doesn't want to go on the fence? what if the elephant is afraid of picket fences?





whatever the case, your seemingly harmless banter was really a cruel attack on one of nature's gentlest creatures.
