Are they white? You can buy a shoe polish that is specifically made for tennis shoes. After scrubbing them with an old toothbrush and some laundry detergent, let them dry and then use this polish on them. Or if they are not too dirty, just put the polish on. Take out the shoe laces and wash them with a bleach load. Your shoes will look all nice and new.
What is the best method to clean tennis shoes while attempting to preserve the 'newness' of the shoe?
If shoes are fabric put them in the washing machine, if not there are products made to clean "sneakers" or athletic shoes just look in the shoe polish aisle at the grocery store or at the department store (Target or Wal-mart). If you don't find anything there try a cloth soaked in a solution of mild detergent in warm water, rub lightly (just enough to clean off the dirt) then rinse with another wet cloth until all the soapiness is gone.
Using a "Scoth-guard" type spray on your shoes should help to keep them from getting so dirty, use it when they are new.
Reply:water with oxyclean. scrub it in %26amp; rinse or wipe off with damp rag
Reply:try wiping them w/ a little diluted alcohol if they are white leather if they are cloth mixed, just regular soap on a wet cloth.
FYI: whatever you do, dont use bleach on white, it will turn them yellow
Reply:Hey i use my pressure washer.
I know it sound extreme but it works.
