I spilled gasoline on my tennis shoes yesterday. Any ideas for removing the smell?

Vanilla extract works wonders. You can put your shoes in a bucket and sprinkle the vanilla extract over them. Let it sit for awhile. This should get the smell out. Then you can wash them to get rid of the vanilla smell.

I would try washing with Lemon Juice, it takes out smell of onions from your hands after you cut them. If they are white it should also help whiten them.
Reply:just wash them as usual. if the smell persists, wash them again, but let them dry in the sun, not the dryer.
Reply:Try a match
Reply:Put them in a ziploc bag with plenty of baking soda. Seal, and wait a day or two, then clean.
Reply:I can only suggest lots of fresh air before you wash them
