use Laundry detergent, powder or liquid

Sturdy canvas tennis shoes can be machine-laundered. For extra brightening, add lemon juice to the final rinse cycle, then let shoes dry in the sunlight.

How can I bleach my tennis shoes?
Throw them in the washing machine on cold, and add bleach. I do that every week to keep them white...)(
Reply:Try the ever dependable toothpaste and an old tooth brush.
Reply:Cascade dishwasher detergent works really well.
Reply:I would use some brand of color safe product like Tide with Bleach. If you use bleach, it will be too hard on the fabric and your shoes will not last, plus they may become yellowed, not the desired result. You could try following the instructions for prewashing tough stains on the side of Tide w\ Bleach, that would probably be worth a try, good luck!
Reply:There are good bleach cakes available in India. You take an old toothbrush, wet it, rub agianst the cake to get a coating of the paint onto it, the rub it onto the tennis shoe.

Of course, you got to wipe off all the muck and the dirt off from the shoe first, with a wet cloth before painting it.
Reply:yes, just very careful. Use bleach w/ color stay that way it want take out the color. Bi-Lo, Wal-Mart, Ingles wherever bleach is sold would and should have it.
