well, should i? why? =) thanks in advance!
Should I use my tennis shoes for running?
If they're comfortable, go ahead.
A lot depends on the surface you run on. Try to run on trails or grass, or failing that a rubber track. Concrete is the worst (harder than asphalt, for example).
Pay very careful attention to any symptoms you develop. Don't run through pain.
Reply:no, it doesnt have enough cushion for running
Reply:No absolutly not.
A tennis shoe is not a running shoe if you're going to take up running you should invest in a good pair of running shoes.
Running shoes provide the best protection for your feet, legs and body from the repeated stress of thousands of foot landings per mile. Each time you take a stride and land, your foot has to absorb two to three times your body weight. This repeated impact is different from other sports. Running shoes have built-in features that enable you to run day after day more comfortably and with less chance of over-use injury. Preferably bought in a shop that can guide you in buying the correct shoe for you. Depending on your running patern and your feet there are different kind of running shoes.
Reply:no thats bad for your feet use running shoes
Reply:Well tennis shoes are ok.. but they can somewhat mess up your shins depending on what surface you run on.
Your best bet is to get a inexpensive running shoe that good for jogging and running during free time.
If your going to be in races I would also get spikes.. because they are light weigh and help you grip the surface better.
Reply:you could but you should really go buy yourself a good pair of running shoes,,,you will be much better off with them,..they make them specific for running.....and they don't really cost much and lots of great styles to choose from ,.....
Reply:If your running consists of many miles a day of hard running maybe not depending on how well they are built. But if you are a casual runner/jogger I think it will be fine. Even though there are shoes designed for every conceivable activity I find basketball and tennis shoes offer the most comfort.
