There used to be a rule that you could only wear white shoes (regular shoes) between Memorial Day and Labor Day. However, the people who dictate fashion have come out with "winter white", and that seems to have changed things.





The old rules no longer apply. Wear white shoes whenever it pleases you.

Reply:Of course - the "no wearing white after Labor Day" is an old cliche' that was a "dressing rule" of the very wealthy. It was used as a way to separate them from the "lower classes". Eventually it became a non-issue. Wear white if and when you feel like it.
