They are black and my son's only pair ,so I'm scared to mess them up.

Mild soap and water should clean them off nicely. After wards, polish them with a nice paste. Then buff them to a shine.





For the odor inside, spray a little Febreeze in them and let them dry before your son wears them. They'll be good as new!
Reply:Usually there is a tag on the shoes that let you know if you can. Otherwise, why not go the the manufacturer's website and see. Or send them an email and ask.
Reply:so can wash them by using a toothbrush and a common day soap mixed with a little bit of shampoo. Srcub the outside. For the inside , wash with bleach and let it dry under the sun for a day or so. Then wax the leather for that brand new shine
